So, instead, I bring you what I consider a good-luck blog charm: a photo of something new that makes me happy.

It is my new sock yarn shelf. That's right, a shelf just for sock yarn, although the bottom two shelves hold sweater yarn right now (because I bought this with an eye on room to grow, and yet I wanted the shelf to look full right away), loosely organized by color (note to self: dangerously unbalanced in the blue/purple department. or perhaps it is I who is dangerously unbalanced?). Ah ... all the potential, all the beauty, all the tactile delights of a tower of finely spun wool. May this blog offer a fraction of the inspiration and joy my new favorite storage unit does!
